Joy of Salvation

Hey all,

I hope everyone had a chance to check out the crusade this weekend. If not you can go www.harvest.org and look at the archived videos of it. Also we put a little something together called, 'How to Survive the Crusade" which will be up later this week at the Jr. High website.

If you did have a chance to check out the crusade, it was a wonderful weekend with several thousand people coming down the receive Christ. My job was to catch people before they left the field to make sure they met with a decision follow up counselor. When I was just standing there I saw different reactions from different people. Some people came down because they wanted to touch the grass of Angel's Stadium, some came because the person they were with wanted to come down, and some you could tell had this look on their faces that the load has been taken off their backs. They found joy and peace. They were seeking salvation. 1st John says, we are writing these things that our joy may be complete. He was writing this due to what he got to see in his own eyes with walking and being around Christ. This complete joy only comes from knowing the son. His blood that was shed for us so we can become white as snow.

I saw joy on the couple people that I had the opportunity to talk with about salvation. It was encouraging for me to see this.

May we never take salvation for granted because it was a very high price that was paid for our debt that on our own we could not pay.

Jon
